Top 10 Action Movies of the 2010s

Movies are known for entertaining us, for passing our times and some for amazing us. In this article I would be writing about the top 10 action movies of the last decade, i.e. the 2010s. Action Movies are best known for showing us some of the most amazing and hard to shoot scenes in the history of film making.

I will try to include the best action movies that we have viewed in the last decade.  So, without wasting any more time let's started:

10 The Fighter:

The fighter is a biopic of Micky Ward. This movie showcases the story of Micky Ward when he was a struggling boxer and how his half brother Dicky Eklund who was recovering from his cocaine addiction helped him out to become a champion.

Director: David O. Russel.

Cast: Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams, Melissa Leo.

9. Skyfall:

Skyfall is the 23rd film of Jame Bond franchise and one of the best. In this movie, James Bond have to save MI-6 head M as someone is trying to kill her.

Director: Sam Mendes.

Cast: Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Finnies.

8. Avengers Infinity War:

Avengers Infinity War is a superhero action fantasy film which is based on Marvel Comics. This movie focuses on how every Avengers comes together to stop Thanos from getting his hands on the Infinity stones.

Director: Joe Russo, Anthony Russo.

Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson.

7. Warrior:

Warrior is a Action sports drama movie. This movie showcases the story  of two brothers who are after the same prize of a fighting competition and had to compete against each other.

Director: Gavin O'Connor.

Cast: Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, Nick Nolte, Jennifer Morrison.

6. Drive:

Drive is an American action thriller film. This story mainly is about a stuntman and a getaway driver who falls in love with a woman who is married to a criminal.

Director: Nicolas Winding Refn.

Cast: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman. 

5. Raid:

Raid is an 2011 Indonesian action and martial arts featured film which focus mainly on a rookie who is a member of an elite team of commandos who all are stuck in a tenement run by mobsters and thugs.

Director: Gareth Evans.

Cast: Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, Joe Taslim, Donny Alamsyah.

4. John Wick:

John Wick is an Action thriller film featuring The Matrix superstar Keanu Reeves. The film focuses on a retired hit man, John Wick who was forced  to return to deal with the Russian gangsters.

Director: Chad Stahelski.

Cast: Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Alfie Allen, Willem Dafoe.

3. Mission Impossible Fallout:

Mission Impossible Fallout is the latest part or the sixth part of The Mission Impossible series. This part focuses on how Ethan Hunt would stop a group of terrorists from detonating three nuclear bombs in different places.

Director: Christopher Mcquarrie.

Cast: Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby.

2. The Dark Knight Rises:

Christopher Nolan has taken the superhero films to another level. The Dark Knight Rises was not better than The Dark Knight but it sure was a great movie. It had great action scenes, strong cast and a plot twist. After all these reasons it sure deserves no. 2 spot on ny list.

Director: Christopher Nolan.

Cast: Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway.

1. Mad Max Fury Road:

The No. 1 spot on my list goes to none other than Mad Max Fury Road. This movie particularly has nothing, no story, no humor and simply just nothing. But there was one thing, action and just mind blowing action. This is the reason why this movie is regarded as one of the modern classics.

Director: George Miller. 

Cast: Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron , Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Nicholas Hoult.
